In vino veritas… and the truth is that this six-day program offers a great opportunity to taste the highest-quality autochthonous wines of Dalmatia that have already won its worldwide reputation. This arrangement is perfect for wine-lovers and all those about to become ones!

Guided by an experienced sommelier, you will become familiar with the basic wine-tasting techniques that will help you enjoy the tastings that follow. Visiting the places where vintage wines come from and tasting traditional local specialties and desserts will blend into an unforgettable wine-tasting experience with the best wines of this region – from the original Crljenak kaštelanski – the ancestor of the famed Zinfandel grape to legendary Kujundžuša to surprising Plavka and Zlatarica to well-known Dingač from Pelješac. And this is but a part of several dozens of autochthonous Dalmatian grapes that have secured Dalmatia’s place among the top-ranking wine regions of the world and made it a destination of every true bon-vivant.

This 6-day arrangement can include the following activities:

Day 1: Arrival in Split, visit to Diocleatian’s Palace, tasting vintage autochthonous wines and enjoying tasty specialties on several locations, learning basic wine-tasting techniques

Day 2: Trip to Omiš, boat trip to River Cetina canyon, dinner in a canyon restaurant with tasting of local Omiš wines incuding Pribidrag (Tribidrag)

Day 3: Trip to Imotski, visits to Blue Lake, Red Lake and 10th-century Topana Fortress, visit to vineyards of autochthonous Kujundžuša grape, wine-tasting in family-run winery, lunch in ecovillage, scenic drive to Makarska, tasting of traditional local cake Makarana

Day 4: Trip to Vrgorac, visit to Avala Tower and 15th-century Gradina Fortress, visit to organic family-run vineyard, tasting autochthonous wines Plavka and Zlatarica and prosciutto of Vrgorac

Day 5: Trip to Ston, tasting Dingač wine, lunch in Mali Ston, visit to oyster farm, visit to Ston town walls, salt works and wine museum

Day 6: Departure from Split.
