For most mainlanders, the life on an island is like a dream – an isolated life they perceive as an adventure and an escape from the daily humdrum. Indeed, the life of many islanders is characterized by a slower pace and peaceful coexistence with nature. With their specific mentalities and dialects, these small communities sometimes seem like privileged clubs guarding the secret of a happy life.
Want to see what’s it like to live on an island? Spend a few days on Brač and meet the people who have made the island their home. Explore local gravel beaches and hidden coves, lush olive-groves and numerous vineyards. Hike the clearings where friendly donkeys roam and watch the sheep grazing fragrant herbs in the fresh sea air. Discover a wide variety of local products and taste traditional island specialties. Who knows, maybe the experience of the island will make you want to move there for good and become a local… Which probably would not be a mistake because Brač was recently included among top ten islands of the world when it comes to quality of life.
