Culinary heritage of Central Dalmatia

This six-day program is a unique blend of history, culture, natural attractions, gastronomy and local customs of Central Dalmatia.

Find out about the glory of the Poljica Republic and discover the beauty of the Cetina canyon and gastronomic delights of the region. Enjoy the traditional specialties from the sea, river and hinterland, including the well-known soparnik, in a top-quality local restaurant.

Discover the original beauty, tastes and aromas of Dalmatian Hinterland by tasting wines in a family winery with a 200-year tradition and enjoying the famous makarana cake. Savor the view of Split from the medieval fortress of Klis, see the Diocletian’s Palace and taste the home-made delicacies made according to old recipes. Discover the old ways of the island of Brač in eco-ethno village of Dol and find out if hrapoćuša cake really is an aphrodisiac.

A 6-to-8-day package can be arranged. Generally, the following activities are included:

Day 1: Arrival to Omiš

Day 2: Tour of Poljica, tasting soparnik, lunch in restaurant in Cetina canyon

Day 3: Excursion to Blue and Red Lakes, tasting wines in family winery, lunch in ecovillage, tasting makarana cake

Day 4: Excursion to fortress of Klis, tasting local products, Split, lunch

Day 5: Excursion to island of Brač, eco-ethno village of Dol, tasting of hrapoćuša, lunch in tavern

Day 6: Departure
